Sustainable fashion has existed for some time. However, investing in better quality pieces and ditching fast fashion has never been more critical for the environment and the future of our planet’s shared resources.

Housed LA is a beautiful and unique lifestyle brand founded by my best friend and fellow entrepreneur, Marilyn Foley. She began sketching her designs for Housed LA’s first collection during the pandemic when she realized there was a need for more high-quality clothes that were flattering and comfortable to wear at home. She found that the β€œhouse dress needed a comeback, so she set out to create a modern twist on an old classic. These are not your Mama's mumus. Housed LA proves staying in can be sexy and fun!”

The Meli Dress is a maxi dress featuring tie straps and a tie waist.

100% Tencel || Made in LA.

Housed LA is created and produced in Los Angeles, California, using eco-friendly textiles and local dressmakers. It is comprised of an all-female crew that is driven by their passion for fashion and the health of our planet. For every purchase on the Housed LA website, they will donate a tree through the One Tree Planted initiative. Check out this beautifully designed brand and the vast array of well-crafted products.

When researching brands that claim ethical and sustainable practices, a general rule of thumb is to check where they source their materials from, what country() the products are produced in, and how much the workers are being paid. Also, pay close attention to how often the brand releases new designs. A genuinely sustainable brand will be mindful not to produce so much waste. Housed LA is conscious of all these things highlighted on its website, which is why I recommend its products.
